Hilly Happenings @ Fort Canning Park (22-24th July 2011)

Hey hey,  do find our carousels and water globles at one of the craft stalls there. With the support to our local artists and craftsters at this festive event organize by National Heritage Board, we will be giving super great deals on our carousels and water globes.

Oh yes, our largest carousels Floral Garden Carousel will be display there too (which is quite rare due to it's size), and is for sale at SGD300. Don't miss this opportunity!!! Hooray!!!

This 22-24th July, spend a delightful weekend at the relaxing, hilly surroundings of Fort Canning Park. Whether it is a gathering with friends or family, the Hilly Happenings @ Fort Canning Park promises to be a time of creative fun, music, song and dance.

The hills are alive with the sound of music! For two nights only at Fort Canning Park, the Festival brings together a wide range of local musicians and performers in the mega concert Home Brewed.
This two-part concert will take you on an unforgettable journey of Singapore's pop music through the decades from the ‘50s to today. Performers include pop queen Anita Sarawak, Talentime favourites such as the Ferdinands Family, Mandopop star Maggie Teng, and young musicians Inch Chua, Ling Kai, Sleeq, and more!
If you prefer some daytime entertainment, then catch the Sunday afternoon gig featuring Jack & Rai, The Next Movement and Cove Red. It's going to be a relaxing series of acoustic tunes at the park, so bring along your mats and picnic baskets!

At the same time, delight yourselves to an array of your favourite local tidbits and international bites at the food stalls and take time to browse through the craft stalls which offer handmade, unique and eco-friendly handicrafts.

For those who can't get down to Sunflower Shop to see our musical carousel... here are some pictures of the carefully hand painted details of the horses and decorative flowers on the carousel... nice isn't it. =)

Note:

Trying to take videos of the carousels horse moving with its music and some with their colourful light. Too bad, this auntie who is not that technical / computer savvy have to spend some time to learn to make short clips and also learn how to post videos onto the blog site... can anyone advice me??? On the other hand, my little hut is always almost never 'quiet'. Its a bit difficult to take videos without background noise with a proper lighting. (because, the real quiet moments would be at night, with no good natural sunlight for clear picture taking...;(...)

Anyways, hopefully will be able to post video clips one day... some day... =)

Post-GSS sales at Sunflower.

Sadly to know that Sunflower shop at City Square Mall is closing soon and it's lease will be ending this 16th July 2011. Will miss this place very much as they allow us to show case especially our handmade stuff and other products.
